I stumbled upon an incredible travel hack that has completely CHANGED the way I book hotels. If you are looking for a travel hack to save you money, budget your trip, and afford more travel- look no further than THIS video!

The most expensive part of travel is usually the accommodations/hotels. For a small little furnished box, they can easily run you $200 a night. When I wanted to take a trip to Hawaii recently, all of the hotels were $400+ a night and it was just ABSURD! So, I found these mystery deals on hotwire.com- but was determined that there MUST be a way to figure out the hotel before booking… it turns out there is- and it’s pretty easy. In todays video I tested out this hack a few times, proved it to be true, and ultimately saved over $1,800 on my trip.
A written explanation of the hack:
1. Find the hotwire mystery deal of the day
2. Assess the ratings of the deal of the day and ANY other details they give you. Such as location, daily resort fee, number of reviews. Sometimes they give you more details than others.
3. Find the other hotels listed on the website for the same rating number, then match it up to the mystery hotel. For this, you will need to go to the reviews of each hotel and compare the condition, service, cleanliness, etc. ALL OF THESE MUST MATCH UP EXACTLY TO THE MYSTERY HOTEL. Once you find the hotel that matches these reviews and is in the same location- you’ve found the mystery hotel!
4. Do an internet wide search for room rates of the hotel, just to MAKE SURE you are getting the lowest possible rate.
5. Book the hotel, be amazest it actually works, and enjoy your trip! 🙂

thank you for this girl!! do you know how to filter for 2 bedroom suites, or is that an option? going to surprise Dad to a vegas trip next month for his 60th!
I NEED SOME HELP, I'M A BIT CONFUSED
I used a similar strategy on Priceline after the housing crisis. 4 and 5 star hotels could be accessed, dirt cheap. After prices rebounded, I stopped trying. You posted this two years ago but I live in California where housing, gas, hotels…everything is sky high. I checked out Hotwire and sure enough, your logic is still accurate. Thanks Travel Girl!
Holy crap, this is an amazing hack!!!! I'm a bit late finding this video, so I hope this hack still works😭
Damn I'm mad i wish you were giving away the hotel stay now😂😂😂😂
Yao I freakin love u 😆
I want to thank you so much for this video. I have now booked hotels using this method twice and both times I got the exact hotel I wanted and it was much cheaper than any other option I saw online. I also called the actual hotel and got their confirmation number of my booking for my own peace of mind. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
Thx so much. I was looking for luxury hotels to stay in for my birthday coming soon and I'm so excited to use this hack. Thank you 💗 😊
Is there anything like this for flights? Because THOSE are crazy these days! ALSO, I tried this hack but there are like 543 hotels (in Boston area) so………….that may take a while unless I am missing a step. Please help! Lastly, I just tried this hack in "maui" and there were was only one other hotel with the same overall rating, but the other ratings didnt match so…who knows!
Let me pause and book my hotel 😅
SO glad this wasn’t clickbait, definitely trying this for my next trip
I dont think this works anymor eor the site has changed its look because I cant find the reviews for the non-mystery hotels
I can’t find any 4 or 5 star hotels in Maui on Hotwire. Have things changed?
i dont have instrgram but im grateful you shared these hacks with the world. I prayed for luxury visits and how to gain it on a budget and was led to your channel, tho where im trying to go looks to only save 35% bummer…… God bless you for blessing us savers!!!!!
Does this hack work still or do you have an updated video? Thanks so much!
Tip open the hotel u want under it’ll tell u 2 hotels that it’ll be one of them exit out re click it one hotel will change and one will stay that’s your hotel
Oh Snap! This is freaking brilliant.. hoping the hotel folks never see this.
Omg you’re a lifesaver
Amazing — I am going to Dubai in Feb 2023 will be interesting to see the savings. Thanks for taking the time to do such a good job.
The ratings don't absolutely match anymore, but you can still narrow it down if it shows "Your Hot Rate hotel is guaranteed to be 1 of these 3" and keep refreshing your browser to see which one shows up consistently. I just booked the Ritz-Carlton for almost half the price! Thank you so much for this!!
Is this site legit?
I know this is 2 years old, but Priceline does the same thing
I'm kinda late, does this still work?
2022 I tried again, and I didnt find anything worthy in boston… sigh
One other really easy was is to look at the number of reviews. That's a quick and easy was to find which hotel matches up. Then compare stars like the video to confirm.
Seeing this in 2022, wondering if this still works👀
Worked for me ! Book in San Diego
Sis out here doing God’s work. Bless you.
Has anyone tried this recently? I figure the website or the hotels have already figured this out by now so just want to see before I try 🙂
Yes I’ve gone this many times. It takes me way longer than you 🤣great job teaching others you did a nice job
This hack does not work on mobile phones -_- smh.
WOOORRRRKKKKEEEDDD!!! Thanks sis!
You are a genius! Thanks for sharing! 👍🏼
Yeah, a lot of us had been doing this for years, but kept it on the down low. So if they ever disconnect from trip advisor which is a possibility, just use the star ratings as a less accurate guide. And for those of you who want to stay longer than what you paid… simply talk to the hotel manager directly during the non-busy after lunch hours when they are more in a good mood. If you had been super friendly to them before hitting them up for a longer-term stay at the same hotwire price.. they will accommodate you most every single time. Unless they are in a crappy mood, and are a crappy person. Then just hotwire yourself into their competitors hotel if they are.
They website is fake! I did it. I went to the website it says $300 but when you go to book, they include ridiculous fees and taxes and it becomes the normal "retail" price. Went onto Expedia to check the hotel and it was cheaper on there without the stupid secret room bull crap.
