Here is the correct crimping tool for the end caps and seams – http://amzn.to/2xOr8XM
If it took you 6 hours for the job, it will probably take several days for me to do it.
Thanks for the video
Thanks for showing us your method. I just moved into place that needs gutters…I've now got a plan.π
4:55 the crimping tool you mentioned is for crimping clips or βteethβ on the upper edge of a sheet of vinyl siding for the final upper run on a wall.
I'll be putting up about 25 ft on back of the carport next week myself, I had 3 Companies come give me an estimate , They wanted to rob me!! Leaf Filter bunch was by far the worse!! Thanks for your video here, It has helped me to know I can do it….

Hola La terminacion no me gusto en las puntas de los lados derechos
Too many joints. I would hired a pro!
Loved the detail and appreciate all the narrating and explaining what went well/not so well & thanks for the verse at the end! Hopefully I can apply all these on my gutters when I do mine!
Nice job, appreciate the tutorial
Do you have to caulk the screw holes?
The HDs around here all have vinyl gutters
Your video made it look easy. However, when I got up the ladder to screw in the hanger, the screw wouldn't go through the siding. Instead it crimped the hanger. So, I tried drilling a hole in the siding, but the gutter hole pressed out a little so the hanger wouldn't slide over it. So, I guess now I need to file the hole down so the hanger will fit. This "simple" little project is not so simple. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for the video! Some lessons learned here and in the comments for sure. Please keep that ladder angle a little steeper! Might be secured on the ground but it looks like it might slip out on you. Subbed keep the videos coming!
Good and real life homeowner stuff.
Wrong should go under gutter apron
Good job bro! I will save some money replacing my self my gutters this coming spring.
Thanks for teaching!
Would have been about four hundred bucks that that is a pro and only a hour of their time and that is with a warranty to
I just finished replacing a lady's wooden fascia AND 2×6 Sub Fascia. It was completely rotten because of the horizontal split in the wooden fascia just like I'm seeing on yours. The fascia really should be just 1 solid 1×6 or 1×8. The more joint and places to hold moisture the worse off. I couldn't see the rot between the fascia and sub fascia until I took the fascia off. Before you put gutters on take the time to replace the 2 piece fascia!
Just blew right past on how you connected the other gutter while up in the air, still nice video.
How have the gutters held up? Thanks for sharing .
You were suppose to go behind the drip edge with the gutter.
I'm a 58yr old female. I live alone in the North Minnesota woods on acreage. I have a huge 2 story, 4bdrm farmhouse and I need new gutters. 5k for the beautiful black seamless ones I WANT. But in the meantime I just need to replace a few failing sections. Thank you so much for such a clear, concisely put together vid. I actually believe I'll be able to manage. ππΌββοΈπ
Nails worked fine in my gutters, outlasted the gutters themselves (stainless steel).
Brown Recluse spider one of my workers got bit was out for a week bubbles on his leg you shoulda killed it.
good job.
As a diyer, I'm impressed ππΏπ
The way he used the ladder I wouldn't try that.
Wrong use of the extension ladder. π£
He did a great job with his video and explaining how itβs done. Thanks.
Just wanna see if that ladder slid out!? Careful bud
There is grading issue as well. It is going backards towards the house.
That Spider should've been dealt by the torch
Please. Just donβt do it. Call a professional for seamless Gutters
i think you did a wonderful job for doing it solo
gutters are about 5$ a foot done right would cost you around 700$ around 125ft of work done
Thank you for the video.
I hope you know this by now, and haven't had to learn the hard way, but PLEASE use an extension ladder the proper way. The leaning angle was entirely too dangerous for even me to excuse. That's my only suggestion. Thank you for your time and effort making this video.
