In Today’s short episode we will show you the formula to prepare the most powerful and 100% organic pesticide by mixing baking soda and other stuff to treat almost every pest in your garden.
Let’s Go 100% Organic! and prepare our most powerful pesticide and fungicide solution to treat almost all types of pests in your garden like the aphids, mealybugs, thrips, mites, whiteflies, worms, caterpillars, soil fungus, plant fungus like powdery mildew, black spot rose disease, leaf rust, leaf miners and what not. You can try this on almost any pest on your affected plant. Please stop using chemical pesticides and even chemical fertilizers and go 100% organic!
Now let’s Prepare our most potent pesticide solution. We just use two or three powerful ingredients in this pesticide recipe.
The First one is of course Baking Soda. Mind you its Baking soda and not baking powder. You should know the difference between baking soda and baking powder. Baking soda is pure sodium bicarbonate. It should not be confused with either baking powder or even washing soda. Washing soda is sodium carbonate and baking powder contains only 30% baking soda along with other ingredients. Some think baking soda is a chemical. No, It comes from earth and 100% organic.
In fact, Baking Soda is registered by the Environmental Protection Agency as a bio-pesticide in United States. So its 100% organic and natural.
In one of my previous episodes last year, we have discussed the miracles of baking soda in your garden like using it as a stand alone pesticide and fungicide, cleaning garden tools and pots, for flowers and lot more.
Before you spray on your entire plant, please perform a patch test on a leaf and leave it for an hour or two to see the potency. If the leaf wilts, you will need to dilute it further.

Cinnamon works well too. As well as garlic. Two more options for natural pesticides that most ppl have in their kitchen
Good advice!!
Can we use this recepie on indoor plant as well ?
I’ve been using plain soapy water for insect pests for years. 2 tablespoons of Ivory liquid (gentle on foliage) in 5 gallons of water. Large amount for the forest tent caterpillars that eat every kind of deciduous tree leaf except poplar. For a 1 litre spray bottle, a few drops of soap is enough. The soap dissolves the waxy coating on the insect and they basically evaporate to death.
I wish I saw this before I got a fungicide 😭😭😭😭😭
Thanks for the info
Good sir Thank you

Stink bugs to ??🙄🤢☹
Will this work on wire worms?
Bad BAD BAD IDEA, don't do this. Baking Soda causes too high PH shift, it is toxic to human organs and plants shift too high PH. get yourself some PH litmus paper and check it yourself in water, BLuE is BAD, very bad. Plants like PH 6-7 just like human gutts. Never take baking soda and water orally.
Sodium bicarbonate is a chemical. It is inorganic. Compounds that are considered organic must contain carbon bound to hydrogen and possibly other elements. By this definition, iron cyanide complexes, carbon dioxide, carbon tetrachloride, and sodium bicarbonate are all inorganic. That's the chemistry. Just because sodium bicarbonate might occur naturally in the earth does not make it organic.
Can i use olive oil?
is soyabean oil okay? natural /what is organic liquid soap ??? please help ,my lemon tree severly attack by caterpillers
Very easy to use.i usually use backing soda for cleaning purposes.. Now I will do this ,Thank you sir.Your English is very good and clear Are you an Indian .?
I've avoided keeping Purple Passion plants, because it attracts aphids. The more sun the plant gets, the deeper purple it becomes.
Depends on the meaning you give to the word organic! It's mineral, not organic! Can be used in organic gardening because this mineral isn't harmful in low concentrations. In organic gardening natural minerals are used. Sodium bicarbonate isn't that natural, it's the result of chemical reaction. Nevertheless chemical reactions are natural too. Depends where you put the limit!
It is possible to find sodium bicarbonate in nature, but almost all of it you can buy is made by chemistry. The "organic" dictum that it is a natural pesticide makes no sense. I suppose you could say the same thing about water – it can be made in a chemistry process and if anybody believes that "natural" is better, then some water is better than other water – but it's a pretty good bet that any water you use in your garden was made in nature. Not so sodium bicarbonate.
I use this, but i destroyed my flowers, maybe i was used too much… But my flowers are dead….😭😭😭
I hope it works on rose foliage too …have to try this one !!! 😀
