L.L.Bean: Trek Across Maine 2012
Ride along with the L.L.Bean team on the 28th Trek Across Maine.
L.L.Bean employees, their families, friends and customers joined more than 2,100 cyclists for the event. In our 100th anniversary year, we had the biggest Bean team ever, with over 220 riders, customers, friends, family, and employees from 14 states. The Bootmobile was on-hand and served as the Bean team’s official pace car as the team began the 180-mile journey from Bethel to Belfast. The Bootmobile generates 0% CO2 emissions thanks to a diesel engine with urea tank and particulate filter.
Bean Team riders wore specially designed red 100th anniversary jerseys, which made them stand out in the crowd. So far, L.L.Bean has raised more than $153,000 for the American Lung Association, breaking our corporate goal of $100,000 and earning the top spot for corporate fundraising.
