It’s tree planting day at Lakeview Terrace and the community and volunteers are ready to get their hands dirty.
L.L.Bean and Trust for Public Land worked together to make the outdoors more accessible for one of Cleveland’s strongest communities.
Built in the 1940’s, Lakeview Terrace isn’t just Cleveland’s oldest housing facility, it’s one of the oldest in America. Originally intended to have incredible green spaces for the community to enjoy, the West Shoreway bridge now blocks residents from accessing the open spaces they need and deserve. L.L.Bean and the Trust for Public Land partnered to change that. By adding more green spaces and renovating open areas within this rich, vibrant community, now every resident and their families have quick and easy access to outdoor spaces where they can play, relax and enjoy being together as a community. Because along with bringing us joy, the outdoors also brings us together.
Follow along as we help transform the Lakeview Terrace with new trees, beautiful open areas for the community and even a new custom-designed basketball court.
