I have been thinking about getting a kayak all summer. I found out that LL Bean has kayak courses. I took two of their courses and learned a lot. It’s a great way to find out if you like kayaking and also to learn. My instructors were awesome.

I did my maiden voyage on September 4, 2017 starting at the Blackstone River heading out to Rice City Pond and the Canal. I had so much fun. Chris taught me how to get it up on my SUV roof.. its a struggle for me but I did it. I dont feel confident putting it up on the roof without Chris there to guide me along. Im hopeful that in time I will gain more confidence.

  8. Brenda, you got yourself a brand new kayak and it's a real beauty! It must be many times lighter than your big canoe, huh? Now let's load her up with a rod, reel and some bait! LOL! I wish you many, many years of fun with your vessel! All the best to you and Chris from Ms. Lulu (Jeanne) and me!

  14. Cool new toy! I like it.

  15. I'm sure you and the kayak will have many great adventures round the beautiful area where you live. Look forward to viewing some of them!

  16. very cool canoe, great fun in the river!

  17. so awesome !!!! congrats on your new toy 😉

  18. Cool colors. You need to put some flames on the side 😃

  19. That's awesome! You'll have to let us know if you like it better than taking the canoe. Great video!

  20. Cool Kayak!! Love the colors! And you were doing great in it!! LOL! Loved when Chis was going fast and stopped so fast then back really fast!! Nice shots of you both at the end! Miss you!

  21. I have two of them. They are stored inside and used 5 to 6 times per year. they are about 7 years old but both develop[ed leaks under the seat at the pressure points. Neither myself or my wife are overweight and both Kayaks are doing this as are others online have mentioned too. LL Bean offered a how to fix it but since it is a stress point I believe the crack will travel. So much for that guarantee. Well, I plan to redesign thereat supports but thats my last LL bean Kayak.

  22. Is that the manatee 10 solo kayak? If so are you happy with it?
