I like the video, I got the bean boots and like them, though its killing me inside that the shoe laces in this video aren't even on each boot and not at the top hole, the laces be sagging down haha.

I believe you would size up or stay true to size rather than down. Those boots are not insulated and the rubber foot area can get quite cold especially if it is raining. You size up so you can wear thicker wool or wool blend socks to insulate your feet. The boots are sized to accommodate thicker socks.
I live in my Bean Mocs and I just ordered their limited edition colonial red leather upper with blue rubber top and white rubber sole.

they are great for hunting but now a fashion statement ha and 150 for a ugly piece of rubber. These use to cost alot less cash advertising at it's best !!
Answered my question of when to tuck in the pants. Just depends on the weather I guess and the type/color of the trouser. Jeans obviously can be worm over the boot but if you need to protect dress slacks or khakis from nasty slush, tuck them in and go for the taller 8-10 inch boot.

Also I would add heel taps to my bean boots diy buy from Amazon like $5 and some gorilla glue to help them bond to the rubber sole… especially if you walking on concrete or asphalt… they’ll last longer.

When he said size down he wasn't kidding lol I'm usually a 14 in gym shoes I'm a size 12 in these boots it's crazy lol

Even though this video is old, I think your boots are oversized. You should've bought a size 10 pair of Bean Boots since you said your regular size in other boots varies from 11 1/2 – 12. I bought a size 10 and they fit me well and still had room to move around. I also wear a 11 1/2 in Timberland and other brands.
